About Saris

I began selling saris as a way to expand the variety of cotton prints I could offer for 18th-century dressmaking. (Click for tips on using a sari as dress goods.)

Some print motifs and techniques common to both 18th century dress fabrics and modern-day saris are so enduring that they are also appropriate to earlier time periods.

The saris with white grounds and small, unconnected print motifs are lovely for Regency and Empire sprigged muslins.
